SSV Network Joins ETHOnline Hackathon with $10,000 in Prizes

SSV
Network
has
announced
its
Gold
tier
sponsorship
of
the
ETHOnline
hackathon
organized
by
ETHGlobal.
The
event,
running
from
August
23rd
to
September
13th,
2024,
offers
a
platform
for
developers
to
create
next-gen
restaking
applications
and
tooling
utilizing
SSV
Network’s
Distributed
Validator
Technology
(DVT)
infrastructure.
According
to

ssv.network
,
participants
have
the
chance
to
win
a
share
of
$10,000
in
prizes
and
gain
grant
opportunities.

Hackathon
Details

The
ETHOnline
hackathon
is
set
to
span
three
weeks
of
asynchronous
hacking,
collaboration,
and
competition.
Around
2,000
hackers
are
expected
to
participate,
pushing
their
creative
and
technical
limits.
SSV
Network
will
be
involved
in
three
specific
tracks,
each
with
its
own
set
of
prizes:

Prize
Tracks

1.
Best
Use
of
SSV
for
Restaking

$4,000

The
top
prize
of
$2,500
will
be
awarded
to
the
first-place
project,
while
the
runner-up
will
receive
$1,500.
Projects
in
this
category
will
be
judged
on
creativity,
UI
design,
and
completeness.
A
key
requirement
is
that
the
project
must
successfully
register
a
validator
on
the
SSV
Network
testnet
for
restaking.

2.
Best
Use
of
SSV
Data

$3,000

The
first-place
prize
in
this
category
is
$2,000,
with
the
second-place
receiving
$1,000.
Eligible
projects
should
showcase
practical
SSV
Network
statistics
and
may
include
dashboards
that
display
data
on
SSV
validators,
operators,
clusters,
and
related
metrics.
Integration
with
the
SSV
Subgraph
and
utilization
of
its
API
to
obtain
statistics
is
required.

3.
Best
Enhancement
to
SSV
Tooling

$3,000

This
category
also
offers
$2,000
for
the
first-place
project
and
$1,000
for
the
second-place.
Participants
are
encouraged
to
create
outstanding
enhancements
to
any
of
SSV’s
tools,
processes,
or
onboarding
systems.
Valid
SSVNetwork
contract
calls
or
keyshare
file
outputs
will
be
necessary
for
qualification.

Additional
Resources
and
Learning
Opportunities

ETHGlobal
will
host
the
SSV
Labs
team
on
an
X
Space
on
August
20th
to
provide
more
insights
into
SSV
and
the
hackathon.
This
will
be
supplemented
by
a
workshop
that
will
go
live
on
the
ETHGlobal
YouTube
channel,
covering
restaking
and
SSV
after
August
23rd.

Winning
hackers
will
also
have
the
opportunity
to
submit
their
projects
to
the
SSV
DAO
grants
committee
to
take
their
projects
to
market.
The
SSV
ecosystem
currently
boasts
26
completed
grants
and
another
46
in
the
pipeline,
offering
ample
opportunities
for
further
development
and
integration
into
the
SSV
Network.
