to

phishing
messages

with

Kong
Limited.
According
to
a
press
release
from
WeChat
Pay
Hong
Kong
Limited,
the
phishing
messages
are
targeting
users
of
the
stored
value
facility
(SVF).

The
HKMA
highlighted
that
the
fraudulent
messages
are
designed
to
extract
personal
information
and
account
credentials
from
unsuspecting
victims.
In
its
advisory,

HKMA

relevant
SVF
licensee
promptly.
Additionally,
the
HKMA
recommends
reporting
the
incident
to
the
Police
or
reaching
out
to
the
Anti-Deception
Coordination
Centre
of
the
Police
at
18222.
